Detoxing is one of the most important ways to strengthen personal discipline. If you can go without something you have easy access to, then you can strengthen your will power to complete tasks. Life only gets harder as they say. You have to be a special kind of person to beat obstacles and endure life’s toughest stones. Detoxing is a way to build fortitude for yourself.

Personally, I like to detox for about 3-7 days and consistently work out. It may be hard to do this when you first start but it’s equally important to keep your body moving. Even going for a walk can help significantly keep your energy up.

Detoxing is a strong form of enlightenment but also draining because your body isn’t used to doing it. If your body is, then KUDOS. I like to do liquid detox, and water fast. A liquid detox is when you combine soup, juice, smoothies, water, and teas throughout the day to keep you going. A water fast is just as described, solely focusing on water as your primary intake for a few days.

So, if you’re a newbie, keep reading for the best tips on how to DETOX before the new year. In order to have a successful detox, you have to plan out what liquids you are intaking at what time. For example, for a liquid detox you can plan to break your fast with a green juice paired with herbs, then for lunch drink a smoothie, and end your day with a soup or more juice + herbs. As long as you don’t miss an intake hour, you’ll be fine. It’s important to keep a schedule with detoxing because it’ll help your body get used to it faster, which helps to prevent discomfort in the stomach.

“When I wake up, I give God my gratitude for giving me another 24 hours to try again. Then I try to sit in silence and darkness for my meditation. I like to do this to get the best sense of clarity. If I have time, I’m going to journal whatever thoughts come to mind and organize them based on how they contribute to my life. If the thought is about how I perceive money, family, and myself they are all separated. After I set the tone with my spiritual routine, I focus on nourishing my body. On day one of my detox, I break my fast with a green juice which includes pineapple, spinach, celery, ginger, hemp seeds, and coconut water. Then before I talk myself out of it, I get ready for the gym and focus on the muscle group of the day. Gym on the first day of your detox is key because as your detox continues your body might lose a little energy and make you sleepy. ~”

A great detox is a balance of your spiritual and physical needs. Get your mediating in, along with proper juicing and balance the emotions that come in between!
