Brain fog isn’t a medical condition, it is a symptom of an underlying condition.

Oftentimes people don’t realize that food affects the brain more than any other factor. This means what you put into your gut can ultimately affect how you think. So no more french fries, and fast food from this article on. It might not be clear today, tomorrow, or next year but best believe the days of constantly eating fast food are adding up on your body. It’s like a silent virus we can’t seem to stop indulging in. Plus, until recently, fast food contained significant quantities of trans-fat, a synthetic form of fat linked with cardiovascular disease and stroke. Inflammation is a driving force behind many diseases and health problems. The same inflammation that affects memory may boost hunger by disrupting appetite and increasing cravings. There are several reasons junk food doesn’t curb hunger, including negative effects on blood sugar and a lack of fiber, but neuroinflammation may be another factor.

Fast food isn’t the only reason you deal with brain fog but it is the most common among diets. Are you tired? Can’t focus? Can’t concentrate on the task at hand? You might want to consider getting a food journal. Watch out for foods containing an excess of gluten, carbohydrates, refined sugar, caffeine, artificial sweeteners, dairy, and alcohol. (1) Seasonal allergies can also be a factor when determining what’s clouding up your thought process.

So with this knowledge try to eat less fast food and foods that cause bodily inflammation. The goal is to detox, decrease inflammation, and live longer.
