Before you pop a vitamin C supplement read this

The first couple of steps to get started in your journey is to know that this wellness journey is a marathon, you will be fine as long as you stay true to what’s good for your body. When I first got started I stocked up on teas and ashwagandha. Which was comical because I had no mentor, no books just vibes. I eventually started to do my due diligence and that opened up my mind to how my body works. I wish that would’ve been a pre-requisite in college, I think everyone should know how their body works.

I’ve learned so much about natural resources and my personal health. It’s been a trial and success journey. Here is a list of what people should do before buying herbal products online:

Blood Work:

A doctor or healthcare professional can assess the overall health of your organs with the help of a blood test. For example, an increased level of creatine kinase or troponin in the blood is an indicative sign of heart muscle damage or heart attack as shown in a blood enzyme test.(1) Then you’d go about losing weight and taking proper herbal alternatives help with that. Some of the few results that come up are glucose levels, blood count, lipoprotein levels, and more. Knowing where your blood stands before starting herbs is important because it determines what you can and can not take, and also where you should start.

Allergy Test:

A lot of the herbs you come across are sometimes weeds. They are natural herbs that come from the Earth so you never know what you could be allergic to. I received a comprehensive skin and food allergy test and when I say I didn’t know I was allergic to half of the things on that chart. I could’ve been outside picking dandelions and passed out. Allergy tests are just another safety net that you must be in before starting to take herbs.

Mentor:

It is BEST to either have a knowledgeable mentor to help you along your journey, a professional with some years in is a blessing when you get on a path like this. Unless you like doing a lot of reading, studying, and taking courses. I would recommend some naturopathic doctors or Holistic Health Practioniors.
